Privacy Policy

The colour tools run entirely in your browser and have no accounts. This page explains what is processed on your device, what standard request data the hosting provider sees, and how any future advertising would change that.

The short version

  • The colour tools run locally and need no account.
  • Images you open in the image colour picker are read on your device and are never uploaded.
  • No sign-up, profile or personal information is required to use the site.
  • Like any website, the hosting network processes standard request data in order to deliver pages.

How the tools work

Every tool on this site is a static web page with JavaScript that runs locally. Colour conversion, harmony generation, contrast calculation and image colour extraction all happen inside your browser, on your device. There is no application server that receives or processes your input.

When you use the image colour picker, the file you select is decoded by your browser and drawn to an in-memory canvas. It is not uploaded, not copied to a server, and not stored anywhere. Closing the tab discards it completely.

Cookies and local storage

The site does not currently set cookies of its own and does not write to local storage. The colour you are working with is written into the address bar as a fragment (the part after the #), which is why you can bookmark or share a link to a specific colour. A fragment is not sent to the server.

If advertising is introduced in future, advertising providers may set their own cookies or similar identifiers, and this section will be updated to describe them before that happens.

Analytics

The site does not currently run third-party analytics. If measurement is added, this page will say which service is used, what it records and whether it relies on cookies.

Advertising

The site does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced, it may be served by a third-party network that uses cookies or device identifiers to select and measure ads, and the provider may process your IP address and approximate location. Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and you will be able to decline.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served as static files by a content delivery network. Like any web host, it processes standard request data — IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp — in order to deliver the page and to defend against abuse. That data is handled by the hosting provider under its own privacy terms.

Your rights

Because the tools do not collect personal data, there is normally nothing held about you to access, correct, export or erase. If advertising or analytics is added later and you wish to exercise a right over data those services hold, you will be able to do so through the consent controls described above.

Children

The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the site adds a feature that changes any of the above — for example advertising or analytics — this page will be updated before that feature goes live, and the change will be described here rather than made silently.
